Accessibility Details

Wheelchair Access

The interior of Belém Tower is unfortunately not accessible for wheelchair users beyond the ground floor. The entrance has a raised threshold, and the upper floors are only reachable via a steep, narrow spiral staircase with no lift.

However, the exterior of the tower and the surrounding riverside promenade are flat and fully accessible, offering excellent views of the monument. The Belém district itself is one of the more manageable areas in Lisbon for wheelchair users.
